The CCT499 is great little camera that's great value for money!!
With a cleverly engineered 3 dimensional bracket, the CCT499 can be installed on a ceiling or wall and the camera can be pointed and rotated to give the correct angle of view. This is not possible with ordinary 2-D domes.
The built in colour electronics give a good picture quality and using digital-signal processing when the light level falls to a preset threshold the camera electronically changes to black and white mode for better night vision.
Finished in an attractive silver case the CCT499 looks good both internally and externally in a multitude of locations from an office ceiling to the outside of an industrial unit.
Boasting an IP66 rating you can use the camera in unsheltered locations without any external enclosures or brackets to protect it.
The 28 built in LED's give the CCT499 some low light qualities at short distances of up to 8mtrs. Please always remember that cameras with IR LED's produce a powerful "torch" like beam of illumination not like a floodlight. This means they are very useful at illuminating specific areas at short range such as gates or a porch, but not large areas such as carparks or gardens. For larger areas you would need additional higher power IR illuminators or some background security lighting.
